It’s hard to believe the summer is over. With temperatures being so much cooler here in Denver
than in Texas, it’s easy to feel as if “summer” never even happened. But here we are at the start of the semester and able to look back and rejoice at all of God’s blessings. [read more…]
Every two years, Campus Crusade holds a conference for all their US based staff. Itʼs quite a conference to be a part of. Imagine being in a basketball arena filled with like-minded individuals committed to helping to fulfill the Great Commission, to bringing the gospel to the world. We walked away from this yearʼs conference refreshed, encouraged, and excited. [read more…]
One of the most intriguing campuses Iʼve ever stepped foot on is this campus in downtown Denver. The campus is shared by three schools – Denver Community College, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver. With the three schools combined, there are over sixty-thousand students. It is the most diverse school in the state, and presents a great opportunity for kingdom impact in the city of Denver.[read more…]

In addition to Foto Friday, my desire is to add a Ministry Monday. Unfortunately, this Monday got away from me (seeing that it’s now Wednesday). Well, here’s our latest ministry update in our latest newsletter.
Here are a few highlights:
- “This year, we were able to host the first ever Epic conference for the Red River Region (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana). And it was amazing!”
- We started the year with only about 50 students involved in our ministry.
- By God’s grace, by the time the conference rolled around, we had over 100 students attending!!! We had students from UT, UT San Antonio, Baylor, Dallas, and Houston.
And a fun personal update:
- We’re going to be on TV (TLC on May 2)
You can get the complete newsletter here.
We just returned from our annual regional staff conference at Pine Cove near Tyler, TX. It was a great weekend of connecting with other staff around our region, and reconnecting with our vision. We were also reminded of our 5 missional objectives as a movement, which we live out ultimately for the advancement of the Kingdom. In case you’re interested, the 5 missional objectives are:
- Changed Lives: People experiencing a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Gospel Experiences: People hearing, understanding and experiencing gospel truth.
- Mobilizing Christ-centered Laborers: Christ-centered laborers engaged together in spiritual multiplication.
- Missional Teams: A leader and laborers reaching a defined scope.
- Christ- like Leadership: A leadership-rich culture.
Amber and I had a refreshing and encouraging time attending our regional staff conference for the first time as a married couple. To read more, click here for our latest newsletter update.

A Word From Paul
“[We] thank my God every time I remember you. In all [our] prayers for all of you, [we] always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus…And this is [our] prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.” …[more]
Our ministry is about changed lives. We want to teach our students to walk with God for a lifetime. We desire for them to have a world view that extends beyond themselves. Only then, will they have a vision and a love for people that is directed by the Spirit.
Last summer, Amber and I were privileged to spend a summer with students on a mission trip to the San Francisco Bay Area. This summer, a handful of them have again invested their summers for the Lord. …[more]
A Student’s Heart Moved
I wanted to share a letter I received from a student, David, who helped start Epic at the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) a few years ago. He transferred to San Antonio College (SAC) for a year, but will be back at UTSA this fall. But, it was at SAC that God moved him. …[more]

In our latest update, you can read about…
Earlier in this month, we attended a 3-day team retreat at a lake in the Texas hill country just outside of Austin. We spent time with our Campus Crusade for Christ Ethnic Student Ministry (ESM) team evaluating this past year of ministry with Asian American and Latino students at the University of Texas, praising God for the students who gave their lives to Christ, grew in their faith as disciples of Christ, and learned how to share their faith….[more]
From The Gospels:
As I shared in our latest newsletter, I am currently completing a New Testament Survey class by correspondence as a part of my New Staff Training. I wanted to share with you an insight that God revealed to me about our ESM ministry through my studies…[more]
